Angelina Jolie Loves DwellStudio Blocks

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their children were in Venice in March, and Angie went on a shopping spree to several local baby stores. Among her purchases were these stylish DwellStudio Soft Blocks! We actually received a set from AllModern, and we love them. They would make a great baby shower gift, and we like the muted colors. I am sure Knox and Vivienne love them, too!

Happiness List

TGIF! Hooray for the holiday weekend. Today is also the one year anniversary of my engagement to Mr. AList at Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. He did such a perfect job planning the proposal and a fun weekend! We have already been married for seven fabulous months! Tonight, we will celebrate over dinner. This morning, I want to take a challenge proposed last year by the wonderful Sarah of Pink of Perfection. Her blog is titled “A thrify gal’s guide to the good life.” Sarah features tasty recipes, style suggestions and inspiring challenges. Last July (when I was in the midst of organizing the wedding), Sarah challenged her readers to create a happiness list. Of course, the most important things in my life are PEOPLE, including my husband and my parents. But to follow is a list of ten simple pleasures that I want to remember as we begin the summer of 2010!

Happiness List:

  • Holding a baby

  • The first sip of a freshly-opened Diet Coke

  • My feet on the wet sand of a soft beach

  • Reading an USWeekly the second it arrives in the mailbox

  • Fireworks at Rangers Stadium

  • Finding my client’s name in the Wall Street Journal

  • A fresh pedicure

  • Making my Fourth Of July cake, and eating it with a hamburger, chips and red Jello

  • The feeling my stomach gets after a big drop on a rollercoaster

  • Planning my Christmas party months in advance, because it is more fun that way!

What simple pleasures are you looking forward to this summer?
