So sweet! We love these adorable little girl rooms we spotted on Marie Claire Maison! As you are getting your little ones ready to head back-to-school, here is some inspiration on how to transorm their bedrooms into a little slice of heaven. Before you know it, they will want to cover their walls with Jonas Brothers posters, blast their radios and act indignant when you walk into “their” room. Not to worry. They will snap out of it when they are about 19. Enjoy the sweetness!

I love the way this primary-colored nursery displays books! This looks like a fun place to hang out! I spotted this nursery on Kenzie Poo.

I cannot resist featuring these sweet little girl rooms today. When your baby girl turns into a little lady, it is time to transition the design. These styles are fun and sassy, and not too frilly. For your bright and imaginative little stars. We found these rooms at Simplified Bee, a fun interior design site!

2010Nursery Decor and Curtains

Fabric can really jazz up a room….or create a calming effect on a room. I am beginning to love curtains. They are a great alternative to a door in a nursery closet. And when they are attached a ceiling, they can make a great backdrop on a wide wall. (No window required!) Of course, the sophisticated drama of fabric around a canopy is a personal favorite of mine. I have lunch with some girlfriends this afternoon, and lots of work to do this evening! Cheers to a happy summer weekend, friends! Photos are courtesy of Young House Love (nursery) and Pink Wallpaper.

2010Glamour Nursery Design

Our friends at Project Nursery are showcasing the most glamorous baby girl nursery! We love the mirrored dresser. We also like to see elements from many stores incorporated into one cohesive look.
Below are some comments from the very talented mom!
In addition to the Julie MacDonald Wallpaper, I painted (or should I say my lucky husband painted..and sponged) a beautiful metallic finish on the walls from Sherwin Williams. I decided on the Cube Crib from Baby’s Dream, purchased from Kids-n-Cribs (kidsncribs.com), due to the very clean lines. I opted not to purchase the matching changing table, and instead bought the mirrored Hayworth dresser from Pier One (pierone.com). The iron letter hooks are from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child (rhbabyandchild.com). I found the crystal chandelier at the Restoration Hardware clearance center in Destin, Florida for a steal! The pink velour curtains are from Pottery Barn Teen (pbteen.com). The iron side table is from Ikea (ikea.com) and lamp is from Anthropologie (anthropologie.com). The custom artwork (containing a photo of myself and my sister when we were girls) is by Michelle Repici (michellerepici.com).
My favorite item has to be the crystal chandelier. In addition to the fact that I happened upon it purely by luck on vacation, I have already claimed it for my own walk-in closet one day (should I have a walk-in closet worthy of a chandelier!). Other favorite items are the custom artwork and handmade curtain ties adored with my grandmother’s brooches.
