We have been hearing more and more talk about the “baby sprinkle”, a party for expectant moms who already have a little one or two at home. What a great idea! Every baby is a reason to celebrate. The main difference is the sprinkle is a little less gift-intensive. Party goers may bring the mom a little something, but it is more of a celebration of the new life. We love the cupcake tower used in our AList girl’s wedding this weekend! The top layer was a cake for the ceremonial cake cutting, and it was surrounded by tiers of perfectly decorated cupcakes! Today is part two of the Retro Surf Party we spotted on HostessBlog! I Love Parties really knocked this one out of the park! We like the themed mocktails, and the fun favor bags. And coconut bowling?! Such a great game idea.

We loved yesterday’s Real Nursery feature so much that we tracked down the mom-to-be’s baby shower! Of course, the fabulous Jen at Hostess Blog has the scoop! The shower was fabulous, and filled with the color green, just like the nursery. We like the circus theme, too. How fun!

Former Dancing with the Stars contestant and professional boxer Laila Ali is expecting her first child with her pro-football player husband, Curtis Conway. The baby boy, to be named Curtis Mohammed, is due in September. According to her personal web site at lailaali.com, she is planning a coed baby celebration, and emphasizes it will be a relaxed and fun time for everyone.
