Baby Nursery for Kate and William

Nursery Art at

Happy Monday! I recently contacted for a piece of framed art for an Art Deco nursery that we are designing. We selected the Triumph Tulip framed art print, by Steven Myers. I am very impressed with the selection on I like how you can narrow selections by type of art, size, cost, colors, etc. Also, while this piece is sold already framed, you can choose to have custom frame almost any piece of art for you, for much less than you would pay at a neighborhood framing shop. The cost for this piece is $74.99, but we want to thank for their generous gift. We think nursery walls can be sophisticated, if that is your style, just like every other room in the house.  We cannot wait to share photos of the nursery when it is complete. Have a great day, everyone!

Nursery Trends: Owls

Hello dolls! We are seeing some fun new nursery trends pop up this winter–and among the biggest is OWLS! We are loving this mod owl nursery spotted at Project Nursery. Skip Hop has the most adorable owl of all, we think. Check out this owl tableware from their zoo tableware collection. This stuff is sturdy and affordable (only $4 for a plate), the colors are bright…and they are just plain fun! Their owl bookends bring some major personality to your tot’s bookshelf! They add a splash of whimsy for only $35. (I imagine some adults will be adding these to their libraries, as well!) Skip Hop is becoming a go-to resource for modern moms. We know Kourtney Kardashian is a big fan of their items for her son, Mason.

Grey and Yellow Nursery

Sherry and John Petersik of Young House Love have the cutest posts on Baby Center, and they recently went Nursery Crashing. We are ga-ga over this bright and sunny room, perfect for a baby boy or girl! And I love the “Always and Forever” sign. Reminds me of lyrics to a song popular the summer before my freshman year of college. The reading nook is created using curtain rods! Learn all about it here.

Customize Your Nursery:

Hello! Happy Sunday everyone! It has been a great weekend. I co-hosted a baby shower on Saturday, grabbed dinner and a movie with my husband, and took a lovely walk around the Fort Worth botanical gardens this afternoon. I am excited to tell you about this fabulous baby bedding company: Carousel Designs. Owned by two West Point graduates, every item sold on their site is made in the U.S.A. The website offers the custom Nursery Designer option, a unique, interactive took that allows expectant parents to design and visualize their baby’s nursery from the comfort of your own home. No more long hours at the fabric store or overpriced specialty store! This is the only website that allows you to design your own custom baby bedding and view your virtual nursery online. Best of all, you have TONS of fabric choices, and the program helps you pick complimentary fabrics. So check out the site, and design away! I received a gorgeous solid white crib blanket. I appreciate the high quality and the beautiful design. It would be gorgeous on its own, or monogrammed with baby’s initials. I could play on this site for hours. The red poppy collection is fun! But there are hundreds of options when you mix and match the fabrics to find the perfect set for you. Check them out on Facebook, too!

Maritime Nursery

Hello! How is everyone today? I am working away. My friend Jean E. and I are planning Saturday’s baby shower! And, of course, I am taking care of the needs of our wonderful clients. We spotted this calm, serene nursery today at Kenzie Poo. Do you love?

Rachel Zoe’s Baby Nursery

Rachel Zoe and her husband Robert are sure to have one STYLISH bambino. We have some great ideas to get Rachel started on her baby room. First she needs a Corsican iron crib. Then, some Armani Baby layette. She can grab some Burberry shoes for the little one, and then a hot Prada diaper bag for herself. Voila! She will be looking fabulous in no time! Best wishes Rach, and thanks to People Magazine for the photo.
