AListBaby Find: Choochi Baby

Filed Under (Shower) by mary on 07-02-2010

Everyone loves burp cloths that are hand-sewn and come made-to-order! They are perfect baby shower gifts. Each Choochi Baby Burp Cloth has an initial embroidered, custom fabric patch with coordinating ribbon and comes bundled in a set of two.  Each burp cloth is soft and super-absorbent.  The cloth itself is a heavy weight for durability, too. We received a set of Emma burp cloths as a gift from Choochi Baby, and we think they are terrific! Truly luxe. The site has cute t-shirts and little personalized photo albums, too.

The fabulous Hostess with the Mostess (Hostess Blog) styled a lovely shower for Scrubs star Judy Reyes. We adore the berry colors and the candy bar. Cheers to baby showers!

In 2010, we have a good 1st birthday party here in Dallas to look forward to…I can feel it!

Baby Shower Ideas

Filed Under (Shower) by mary on 07-12-2009

We love this fun baby shower concept from Project Nursery! The bird’s nest invitation offers a modern, yet playful approach to this theme….and it gives the hosts a beautiful shade of blue to use as a central color in the decor.  If you want to carry the nest-theme into the place setting, you could use bird’s nest place cards. Many fabulous ideas!Nest_Baby_Shower_PN

AListBaby Real Shower: Rubber Ducky Theme!

Filed Under (Shower) by mary on 07-08-2009

We showed you my friend Jean E.’s stylish safari nursery, and today is part one of her fantastic rubber ducky baby shower! We filled three glass bowls with foam balls, added a splash of water and a ducky–and created a cute centerpiece for our table! Of course, we had to serve blue punch, so a ducky could “swim” in the punch bowl. We hung yellow and blue paper lanterns from the ceiling to add a splash of color to the room. We will bring you part two tomorrow!

The Season of Showers

Filed Under (Shower) by mary on 26-07-2009

Summer is a great season for baby showers and wedding showers! It is an exciting time for me, because I am getting married this fall! {Before we know it, we will probably be announcing our own little AListBaby!  But no rush there!} Below is the the inspiration board my mom and I created for my bridal shower next month. I am excited! It will be at The Stoneleigh Hotel here in Dallas. I love the hotel’s Old Hollywood Glamour feel. The colors for the shower are pink, raspberry and silver.

Sip and See

Filed Under (Shower) by mary on 09-04-2009

We have recently been invited to a Sip and See. It is a great southern tradition that allows you to show off your newborn to your closest family and friends soon after the birth. The event is usually held at the baby’s new home. I think its a great way to prepare for guests all at once, rather than schedule a dozen visits! The fabulous HWTM has a great Sip and See inspiration board, below. I could use a glass of champagne right now!
