We love a diaper bag that is practical, yet does not get in the way of all of mom’s stylish looks! This Ship Hop Duo Edgewood diaper bag does the trick. It attaches to your stroller or your arm, and it looks fantastic. This particular design is a limited edition, too. The wood grain quilting is very chic. We tested it out, and it is lightweight, looks great, and packs a lot of stuff! You can purchase it online, here.

We have received several questions from mommies-to-be, asking us what they should give their baby shower host as a token of their appreciation. In the past, I have personally LOVED receiving plants! But another great option is a fun pair of gloves from Royal Accessories. We received a pair in the mail, and they even have sparkly bling on the cuff! (Talk about making chores fun!) The online store also offers aprons and laundry bags, in a variety of colors and styles. Happy shopping!

Most of the new mommies I know have one major complaint: lack of sleep! And we all know that can lead to pesky under-eye circles. I received a sample of Dermacyte about a month ago, and I wanted to wait and see if it really worked before writing a review. Honestly–this stuff is magic! It reduced the dark circles under my eyes..and also the puffiness. Even Mr. AList noticed. So this product gets our thumbs up! Retails for $95.

The K’tanCloth is a 3-IN-1 Nursing Cover, Burp Cloth & Blankie which attaches to any baby carrier, nursing tank, stroller and more! It has a streamline design which gives you just the right amount of coverage for nursing, an open-pocket on the bottom which helps catch messy spit ups over the shoulder, and is made of soft three-ply cotton so baby will love to both cuddle with and teeth on!

Baby Finds at Montgomery Antique Mall

I had a GREAT ladies afternoon tea at Montgomery Antique Mall in Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago. Two of my girlfriends invited me to tea with their mom and their two baby boys. You may recognize Jean E’s little boy Garrett, below. He is getting so big…and so handsome. I just love that little one! My friend Laura’s little man is also too cute for words—he deserves a post all his own this summer, for sure! After a delicious lunch, we took a stroll around the mall. I love this kind of stuff, because it is so unique, and the furniture is often a higher quality than what is made today. I did spot a few items that would be perfect for an AListBaby, too! Check out the cowboy boots! We love the christening gown in a shadow box…what a great way to show off your baby’s gown after the big day. (I have my father’s christening gown that was made by hand by my great aunt Helen. What a treasure.) And finally, a tin horse! It may not be an ideal riding toy, but it would sure look chic in the nursery!

The Day I Found The One

I had a lovely lunch with two of my girlfriends at Northpark mall in Dallas today. As I got up to leave, I spotted the most exquisite stroller I have ever seen “in use”. Sure, I have seen the fabulous Silver Cross Prams in photos and in shops, but its hard to imagine loading one of those in the car and strolling it around the mall. While glorious, they are about the size of a SmartCar. However, today I saw a mamma having lunch with this super-chic ivory model by her side. I was shocked…I had never seen one before. At first glance, it looked like an Inglesina. But I looked a little closer, and I did not recognize the logo. Since I (oddly) consider myself a connoisseur of luxury baby goods, I just had to ask. After getting an up-close-and-personal peek at the goods for a good 20 seconds, I asked mamma where she bought it. Said mamma did not speak English, but I did understand the word “Europe”. I spotted the Emmaljunga logo. Fair enough. As I walked toward the mall exit I realized I did not even look at the kid inside. Just the stroller. Yeah, because that’s normal behavior for a non-pregnant woman with no children. After a quick Google search, I found that these prams are made in Sweden. Not sure how much they cost. There are no retailers in the United States or Canada. Not that it will stop me from tracking one down and shipping it here someday! Hey, we all have our thing.
