I co-hosted a baby shower on Saturday, grabbed dinner and a movie with my husband, and took a lovely walk around the Fort Worth botanical gardens this afternoon. Best of all, you have TONS of fabric choices, and the program helps you pick complimentary fabrics. So check out the site, and design away! I received a gorgeous solid white crib blanket. I appreciate the high quality and the beautiful design. It would be gorgeous on its own, or monogrammed with baby’s initials. I could play on this site for hours. The red poppy collection is fun! Hello! How is everyone today? I am working away. My friend Jean E. and I are planning Saturday’s baby shower! And, of course, I am taking care of the needs of our wonderful clients. We spotted this calm, serene nursery today at Kenzie Poo. Do you love?

Spearmint Baby has the cutest baby nurseries! We love this baby pink, shabby chic decor! The mural is tasteful, and the crib is glamorous!

With the holidays right around the corner, I have decorating on my mind! I was excited to receive this sample 2-piece serving set called Urban Nature, on sale for $139.95 at Villeroy & Boch. The set includes a serving bridge and platter, which would be great for vegetables and dip…or a dessert and ice cream. However, I love the idea of creating a shallow vase out of the serving bridge, and floating some flowers in it. I can set white pumpkins and additional flowers on the platter. That will create a lovely Thanksgiving centerpiece. I can check that off my list. Check out the Villeroy & Boch blog for great recipes and decorating ideas. The company wants to encourage us to use our special pieces everyday, and not just wait for special occasions. I think that is good advice. And certainly fine dinnerware can make any dinner at home extraordinary.

Happy Monday! I am happy to say another one of my close girlfriends is expecting a baby in 2011! The expectant mother loves shoes and colorful style. The expectant father loves the great outdoors almost as much as he loves Fort Worth.
After some brainstorming, I decided to create a nursery board for their baby son based on one of my favorite childhood songs, “Teddy Bear Picnic”.
