Cute Toddler Room!

This room is proof that a room does not have to be matchy-matchy to be fabulous! I am actually really loving this monogrammed valance! I think it is cheeky and unique. And I adore the BRIGHT yellow armoire! (I feel like this would be easy to recreate at home, what do you guys think?) Of course, the unique art on the wall adds whimsy. Well done!

Baby Girl Bassinet

How pretty is this baby girl bassinet from Rosenberry Rooms? Hopefully SOME DAY we can get one of these. I am getting TIRED of waiting for the stork!

Fabulous Offices

This AList writer has been busy working this week! But we took a moment to daydream about office renovations. These are just delightful, right?! What would your dream office look like? More fabulous baby items tomorrow. Cheers!

Giraffes for Baby’s Room

Happy Monday! Many of my readers know I love giraffes. One, a gift from my Dad, even stands by my side as I work everyday. The giraffe is the mascot for my sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi, because they have the biggest heart in the animal kingdom, and they are heads above the rest. This May, one of my AEPhi sisters is expecting a baby. And to my delight, the nursery theme is JUNGLE. Ladies, the giraffes available for baby’s room are so numerous…it is almost overwhelming! And while I am trying to stick to her registry, I got lost online looking at these giraffe works of art! How fun!

Changing table, $2,775 (At least the shipping is free.)

Rocking horse, $66.36

Giraffe pants, $20.00

Giraffe highchair, $530 (But at least the shipping is free on this, too!)

Coat rack, $42.66

Baby for Kate Middleton and Prince William

We are thrilled to hear that Kate Middleton will marry Prince William in 2011. Of course, we are also excited just thinking about how glam their baby nursery will be. We think Kate will start with an iron crib from Bratt Decor, then add a Silver Cross Kensington Pram, and a splash of baby Burberry. Best wishes for your upcoming royal wedding, Wills and Kate!

Bunk Rooms

TGIF! We have a fun weekend with friends planned…how about you? We leave you with a couple of magical bunk rooms from Nursery Notations. Cheers!

Kimora Lee Simmons, Ming and Aoki

Few people know about my admiration for Kimora Lee Simmons. She is the star of the reality show, “Life In The Fab Lane.” I started watching her show during its first season. I was toiling away at the agency during the day, and I would watch her show for one hour each week while sitting on my miserable couch in my miserable home in the middle of nowhere. (It literally took me an hour to drive to work each day.) I used to think, think, “Wow. Kimora is making it happen for herself.” Of course, she had millions of dollars at her disposal from her now ex-husband Russell Simmons. And she “inherited” the Baby Phat line from the work they did together. But she took one product line and exploded it into an empire. Kimora is a go-getter. She knows the world is her oyster, and she is the pearl. Now, she designs jewelry, she has a children’s line, she has a couture clothing line, a reality show, several fragrances, and she is the spokesmodel for all of her brands. Not to mention, she is a newlywed and new mom, with three children under the age of 11. Kimora just finished renovating her dream home in Beverly Hills, which takes my breath away. (And I thought her New Jersey home was stunning!) Kimora pushes herself to be the best she can be. And I admire that. She reminds women that we should always follow our dreams. The title of her show is no lie….she does live Life in the Fab Lane. Check out these Sweet Dreams beds! She had two custom made for her daughters, Ming, 10, and Aoki, 7.

Nursery Decor and Curtains

Fabric can really jazz up a room….or create a calming effect on a room. I am beginning to love curtains. They are a great alternative to a door in a nursery closet. And when they are attached a ceiling, they can make a great backdrop on a wide wall. (No window required!) Of course, the sophisticated drama of fabric around a canopy is a personal favorite of mine. I have lunch with some girlfriends this afternoon, and lots of work to do this evening! Cheers to a happy summer weekend, friends! Loving the HiLo High Chair

We are in love with the HiLo high chair, sent to us by AGE Design. This colorful, dual-height kids chair combines contemporary design with simplicity and functionality. The chair keeps toddlers well seated from 6 months to 6 years. On first impression, the HiLo kids chair looks basic with its one-piece molded plastic seat held together by wild cherry wood folding legs. It is easily adjusted by a two-button pullout aluminum mechanism. With one easy maneuver, the seatbelt-clad chair conveniently swivels from high chair to under-table chair. The HiLo chair’s subtle, less-is-more design features go further than most modern high chairs. Each added design feature is strategic, clever and understated. We love ours, and we know it will be convenient for many years to come. We also found the chair at the online retailer PokkaDots for $299. We are looking forward to seeing more by AGE Design in the future!

Luxe Furniture for Baby

Happy Monday! We spotted this seriously luxe armoire/changing table on Posh Tots. And if you have an extra $6.791, it is yours! It is gorgeous, though, we have to admit.
