2010Pediped and Make-A-Wish Foundation
Filed Under (Clothing) by mary on 15-01-2010
Yesterday, I attended a great board meeting for The Kids in Need Foundation, a not-for-profit that puts school supplies directly in the hands of teachers and students who need them, nationwide. We love companies that make helping children a priority. Beginning Jan. 6 and running through Feb. 5, pediped footwear will host a Purchases with Purpose fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. During this period, select styles of both Originals and Flex shoes will be marked down as much as 40 percent. Half of the sales from this promotion will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. In 2009, the company raised more than $145,000 to help grant wishes and its goal is to surpass that figure in 2010. Information on current and upcoming fundraisers can be found on the pediped site. We also want to share with you a fabulous new couture line from pediped! We received a pair of the Aubrey shoes, and they are glamorous and comfortable for little feet!

2010Stay with Me Socks
Filed Under (Clothing) by mary on 12-01-2010
Here is something all moms can appreciate: adjustable baby socks that grow with your child, and also stay on their feet! The Stay with Me socks stay on your baby’s feet until you take them off. The socks also interlock, keeping them together in the washer and dryer. Check out their site to find out where to buy a pair for your little one.

2010boon: Grass Drying Rack
Filed Under (Shopping) by mary on 11-01-2010
Our friends at boon create the most sleek baby designs! This drying rack is just cool. The two-piece design makes it easy to clean. Water drains into the lower tray while baby accessories rest on flexible grass blades to air dry. Great for everything from bottles to pacifiers. We received one as a gift from boon, and we love it!

2010Project Nursery: Real Nursery
Filed Under (Furniture) by mary on 11-01-2010
We love Project Nursery’s real nursery features! This room’s theme is “Blue Skies and Tangerine Dreams”. We think it works for a boy or a girl. The curtain ties are grosgrain ribbons. An easy and affordable style option!

2010Design Dazzle: Alphabet Nursery
Filed Under (Room Décor) by mary on 10-01-2010
We love browsing through the fabulous design and event decor ideas at Design Dazzle! This alphabet theme is fresh and fun. You could get the border at a teacher supply store. You could also find wooden letters in unique sizes, spray paint them primary colors, and make a “wall of letters”. There are many fun options for this theme!

2010White and Ivory Nursery Decor
Filed Under (Furniture) by mary on 08-01-2010
We discovered fun nursery ideas at HGTV, from moms who want to share their design creations with us all! Last night, we found this dreamy room. We think the wood accents add a lot of warmth to the theme. The key to this look is to keep all clutter at bay, which is nearly impossible in a baby room! But it sure looks great in the photos! (And you can always make it pristine when company visits…)

2010Sleigh Beds Ring
Filed Under (Furniture) by mary on 07-01-2010
Sleigh cribs have never been my true crib love. But then I saw this sleigh crib ($1452, Posh Tots) that converts into a toddler bed. Total glamour, right?! The thing I love about the toddler bed is that the crib bedding still works. Genius. And economical. Ooh…but check out the molding on these nursery walls. I recently decided custom carpentry is a must. Along with a fabric draped ceiling. {Must get a piggy bank and start saving.}

Filed Under (Photos) by mary on 07-01-2010
I mentioned little Julianne last week. I have known her mom, Dianne, since grade four! Julianne will celebrate her first birthday next month. These photos are from our wedding rehearsal at St. Thomas Aquinas. She was a big hit. I couldn’t resist sharing this cutie with you.
